Making
Your Poinsettia Last
The
poinsettia is the most popular flowering houseplant for the
Christmas season. The poinsettia should last a month or more
if properly cared for.
Watering: Keep the soil moist but do not allow water
to build up in the saucepan under the pot. Check the
moisture level each day.
Temperature: The range of temperature should be 65-70
degrees. Do not place the poinsettia around the heating vent
or cool drafts.
Fertilize: Feed weekly when the plant is blooming.
One half teaspoon per gallon of water. We recommend the
4-15-12 Monty’s Joy Juice formula for poinsettias.
