Monty's Joy Juice and African Violets

Monty's Joy Juice will provide a brighter color and larger blooms. Enhanced plant structure that provides for better absorption of light and therefore creates a better more efficient African Violet. The foliage has a thicker appearance and a darker green color. Monty's Joy Juice will help in preventing plant problems such as petiole rot. Using Monty's Plant Food ensures that the plant will not have a salt build-up. This allows continued absorption of needed nutrients. More efficiency in this nutrient up-take will therefore maximize the overall growth and life of your African Violet.

Watering

Water frequently enough to keep soil moist. Between watering allow the soil to dry slightly. Too much moisture will cause severe damage. Some growers prefer wick watering.

Temperature

The correct temperature is 65 and 70 degrees. Do not allow the temperatures to go above 80 degrees and below 60 degrees.

Humidity

Maintain a moderate amount of humidity. If the humidity level is low in your home, place gravel and water in a saucepan under the pot.

Fertilization

Constant availability of nutrients is ideal. Dilute Monty's 8-16-8 @ ¼ teaspoon per 1 gallon of water in the watering can or place ½ teaspoon per gallon of water when wick watering.

Light

Ensure that your African Violet will receive direct light, but not direct sunlight.
