Basic
Application Recommendations
Using Monty's Joy
Juice with all types of Plants
As a Seed Starter:
Use
Monty's
4-15-12 as a seed starter. The reason for the quick and
better germination on cotton seeds and all seeds is that Monty's
provides an organic molecular structure that holds the moisture
around the seed and this provides better shell breakage. This
allows the plant to begin to absorb the nutrients of Monty's
while increasing root development. The results from Monty's will
show that the seed treated cotton will enable a much higher
yield because of the earlier and progressive growth in the
plant.
For
above the ground vegetables:
Mix Monty’s Joy Juice 8-16-8 (yellow label), according to
directions.
For
Broccoli, Peppers, Squash, Tomatoes, etc.:
Apply to soil sufficient liquid to reach the root zone. Do this
weekly and after rains...every time your plants need water
include Joy Juice for optimum yields.
For
Beans and Peas:
Apply 8-16-8 the same as above. But, once plants reach mature
size and begin to bloom or set fruit, discontinue root feeding.
Instead spray or mist foliage (leaves) at least weekly until
harvest.
For
below ground vegetable (Beets, Carrots, Potatoes, Turnips, etc.)
Apply diluted Joy Juice 2-15-15 (orange label) to the soil
weekly after growth begins until harvest. Note Spraying or
misting foliage can only increase the effectiveness.
For
Flowers:
Annuals respond best when fed once a week with the 8-16-8
formula. The ratio should be 1600 PPM. In the greenhouse
operations we are using the 8-16-8 formula @ 200PPM. This is
based on feeding the annuals on a daily basis.
For Azaleas:
On azaleas the following
program is recommended: In the spring time begin feeding with
the 8-16-8 bi-weekly. This should be continued until the end of
summer. The 2-15-15 formula should be fed in the fall at the
same rate as above to establish root systems.
For
Roses:
Roses
are very heavy feeders. We recommend that roses get fed with our
fertilizer at least once per week. 1 gallon of Monty’s
Joy Juice will take care of 1600
roses for one application. The 8-16-8 should be applied at
the time when foliage develops. This formula should be used for
approximately two months. If the rose bush has reached the
desired growth, a grower can begin mixing the two formulas
50-50. I would recommend that they continue this process for at
least two weeks and then begin using the 2-15-15. The 2-15-15
should be used until the roses are about three weeks from
dormancy.
For
Orchids:
The
cycle in the USA is 3 months dormant (in the dark resting) then
grow bloom then recover for a month grow a bloom recover etc.
for about 9 months then back to 3 months dormant
We would
recommend that orchid growers utilize Monty's Joy Juice in the
following rate:
- Begin
using Monty's 8-16-8 at 1: 2,500 during the first 4 months
of the growing season.
- During
the next two months we suggest that the 8-16-8 and 2-15-15
be mixed 50/50. The rate should be again at 1: 2,500
- During
the flowering period we would recommend the 2-15-15 at 1:
2,500
For
vine crops (Blackberries, Cucumbers, Grapes etc.)
Apply diluted Joy Juice 8-16-8 to the root zone when these
plants begin to grow. Do this once or twice more until the
leaves are mature. Then, spray or mist foliage weekly (or more
often) until harvest.
For
Fruit Trees:
Spray foliage with 8-16-8 every other week for one month. The
second month, spray leaves twice weekly with 2-15-15 until
blooms appear. Do not fertilize after blooms appear.
For
Mature Plants and Grass, those that you don’t want to grow or
get larger, but want to be healthy:
Use Monty’s Joy Juice 2-15-15 (orange label) on the soil after
plants have started to grow. Use twice 2-3 weeks apart. Then
spray or mist foliage once or twice monthly for the rest of the
growing season.
It
will prove beneficial to water the ground before applying Monty’s
Joy Juice in an Ortho Dial’n Spray Sprayer. Affix the
enclosed "stick on" label and dilute according to the
label and dial setting.
What
used to be a chore is now a Joy with Monty’s Joy Juice.
